ICE Confirm New Partnership with Searcys
Searcys, the UK’s longest running catering and events hospitality company, has agreed a new partnership with ICE (In-house Corporate Events), the community of corporate meeting and event planners, that will see the company become the official caterer for the ICE community.
The decision comes as part of Searcys’ commitment to encourage event planners to think differently about the food and catering delivered at their events. “Food is fundamental to event success and plays a huge part in the attendee experience,” comments Stuart Gavin, Head of Event Sales, Searcys. “But this is more than just about providing basic nourishment or meal options that meet dietary requirements. There has been a notable industry shift towards socially responsible and experiential events, and guests today want their food to match this philosophy.”
These demands mean more organisations are now factoring sustainability and creative food into their event menu, and this is something both ICE with Searcys are passionate about exploring further.
The partnership will also see Searcys and ICE work collaboratively through a number of research projects within its community to help planners better understand how both venue and place is crucial to the success of the events we create.
“We’re all really excited about this collaboration with Searcys, and their new approach to catering”, comments Anita Howard, Founder & CEO of the ICE Group. “We really admire what Searcys is doing within events food and think their ambitions and ideas resonate not just with us, but with the events industry as a whole. We always want to find the next best thing to make our ICE events that much better and we believe Searcys can help us achieve this. They have a world-renowned reputation for quality, sustainability, and innovation, something we are both excited and proud to bring closer to the corporate events sector.”
“We are pleased to be partnering with ICE and supplying the hospitality for the upcoming ICE conference and awards dinner this year, commented Matt Thomas, Managing Director, Searcys. “ICE has a strong community, one we are keen to be a part of. This is a great opportunity for us to share our work and make a positive contribution to the industry. Our commitment to sustainability and innovation is woven into our DNA and echoed through our drinks and food.”
Searcys is also the headline sponsor for ICE Talks in April and are sponsoring the Unsung Hero Award at the ICE Awards later this year.
